Trevisan Machine Tool, a long-standing manufacturer of horizontal machining centers, will debut its new GT-350 Dual Spindle Machining Center at the International Manufacturing Technology Show 2026. The debut gives manufacturers weighing where to source a custom computer numerical control machining center in the U.S. another option built around dual-spindle flexibility.
SUFFIELD, Conn., Aug. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- At the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) 2026 this September, plans to give manufacturers evaluating a custom computer numerical control (CNC) machining center in the U.S. a first look at its new GT-350 Dual Spindle Machining Center. The show runs September 14 to 19 at Chicago's McCormick Place, where Trevisan will present the debut from booth 338972 in the South Building for the full run of the event.
What Will Trevisan Showcase at IMTS 2026?
Trevisan's new GT-350 Dual Spindle Machining Center anchors the company's presence on a show floor that continues to grow, following the 2024 edition of IMTS that drew 1.2 million square feet of exhibit space. The debut marks the newest addition to Trevisan's line of horizontal machining centers, measuring 12 feet by 22 feet.
The machine pairs an integrated contouring head with a dual-spindle design that lets operators switch between U-axis turning and standard milling spindles in seconds, without repositioning the part. The turning head removes material up to 350 millimeters in diameter at speeds up to 1,000 rotations per minute, supporting a range of demanding work such as:
- Contouring and taper work: The design shapes angled and curved profiles in a single pass.
- Facing and back-facing: Operators square off both sides of a workpiece without re-clamping it in a separate fixture.
- Single-point threading: The turning head performs precise thread work without a separate operation.
A CNC-controlled automatic tool changer rounds out the update. It accepts a wide range of tooling, including Capto, HSK and TG2000 holders, for faster changeovers.
Why Does US-Based CNC Manufacturing Matter to Buyers?
Buying from a domestic manufacturer gives shops faster access to support and spare parts than working with an overseas supplier. Delayed parts and slow service calls are a common frustration manufacturers report with foreign-built equipment. Trevisan has maintained that footprint since 1963, growing to more than 2,000 machine installations worldwide.
Decades of installations like these help engineering and operations teams plan around uptime and total cost of ownership rather than sticker price alone. That same experience also informs Trevisan's approach to requests that fall outside its standard lineup.
When a customer's process calls for something beyond that lineup, Trevisan will design and build project-specific machines to meet it. Domestic manufacturing, a multi-decade installation base and engineering flexibility position the company among the more established names in custom CNC machining center manufacturing today.
